PORT VILA, VANUATU (21 January 2022): A meeting between the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Secretariat and Vanuatu’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade (MFAICET) was successfully held this morning.

Acting Director General of the MSG Secretariat, George Hoa’au and the Director General, MFAICET Kalfau Kaloris met to iron out certain issues, which included the handing over of the MSG Chairpersonship, host secondment for MSG Secretariat capacity and staff visa matters, among others.

As a result, it was agreed that a consultation meeting between the MSG Secretariat and the Vanuatu Foreign Affairs as Hosts be held soon where the two parties can further discuss matters amicably.

The consultation is being proposed for Tuesday 15th February.
